The Character Status Screen

This is the final bit to are groups work and i have to say it looks great i love it i did have one problem with the bit i put into it that was the fout i could put it back on my pc i had to do it at the Uni and i couldnt get to a machine to fix it in time Oops.

The Result

This Game On project has been an enjoyable yet frustrating one because of the mistakes we made on the way but we learned loads about working in a group playing to each other strengths and comprising with each other along the way.
The most important thing i learned was that sometime having a group bigger then say 3 people is if your not the most well organized people in the world a bad thing because it causes confusion and frustration in the group. That would be the one thing that i would change if i could but after a bit of time we came together and pulled it off in the end and produced some finished work.

Final menu design DONE


iv finally got the C.S.M.S done for one of are character in the game all thats needed to do now is put it into the game which im going to try tomorrow or thursday but it has to be this week and cats in charge of room in which the character will apperear in but he's the menu. ignore the writing in the middle there just other ability for rays character lucretia.

Menu contined


iv nearly finished the menu and iv added a level progression system and weapons to the design from thought iv put into this i think that the colour system will go well with the selection room that cat has designed im  going to match the menus stats and weapon load out with Rays character and turn around .

Menu Deveploment

As you have seen i started with shapes and styles (if its not on the blog it will be on soon) then i moved to colours i started with blues then some purples but as i looked at different examples of holograpthic tech from sci-fi films and TV and games and i felt that the colour blue was over used so i choose the green. then i went with one of the textures that i took with my camera and used it as a background image and changed the colurs to match my designs.

Side Arm 02

Here iv redesigned my fist pistol and added a bit more of a compact look about iti now the handle is the wrong size and it neededs to be bigger

Rocket launcher design 01

I started with looking at Rocket launchers that had been in perverious games like halo and most FPS games which i showed in an earlyer post.
Here are my first sketchs and ideas that i came up with the one drawen up in pen shows which idea i liked the most.













This is where i took my design and added to it.
The large drum to the bottom left of the image is the magerzine which holds up to 12 mini plasma rocket in the middle is my design for the targeting system and bottom right is the barrel
it fires one round at a time but if trigger is held it can fire three rounds at once it also has homing target system withe the charged shot as well.

But iv got the first idea for the new Armour after i changed the body struckture of the Tauyons.

iv just finished designing the final sketches for my Rocket launcher its partly inspired from Halo 3 s rocket launcher because as i am a gamer i have always felt that this one is the best that iv ever usedin any FPS games.

iv started my search for textures like places to find them off the webb how to get my own. I started with looking in magerzine i fond that Imagine FX magerzine sometimes gives out free textures,photoshop brushes, and video tourials on how to do some of the effects that it shows in the magerzine.

The Sniper Rifle

This is for the long range shoters out there who love sniper rifles the new part that i have put into this rifle is that at any time you can use the stand to give you greater accarsy but it takes time to set up. With it plasma cells being much bigger than any other weapon iv designed so far its abillity to burn through armor is what puts fear in the eyes of its enrmys.

We need a Leader?

Lately the group is falling behind and its because we keep getting distracked im not sure as of why but it needs sorting. it was suggested by Sonia that we choose a group leader to keep us on track and make sure the group dead lines are meet. we still have not choose a leader and its getting on im scared that we are falling behind .

The Tauyons

This is Dustor a Alien from the Tauyon Race on the planet Armonoryon in the Prime Nebule they are a peacful yet poweful race of warriors that have a dark history with humans invading there space but there also known for being very terrortoreyial with there area of space and colonys on other worlds. Armonoryon is a desert and mountain world with very small amounts of natral resounes so they control almost all the the planets in Prime Nebule sector.
Dustor is a colonist on earth from his home world of Armonoryon he is friendly with humans and as a result he gets alot of negtive views from the other members of his race that he meets on his travels. He ends up on the Arch after saving some human from a power overload in the and flooding in the hosibital sectsor of the under water city.

The Machine Rifles


These Rifles are base and inspired byr the Halo Battle rifle and the gangster all prepose weapon the Tommy Gun.

Both are powered with Plasma Cells nad are used for medium to long range fights.

The TOP image is a burst fire rifle it fires a 5 round in a burst and it is equiped with a battle scope.

The BOTTOM image is my reimageing of the Tommy gun uses a short range reflex scope and equiped with a large plasma cell drum magerzine to be able to put down a large amount fire on the battle field but the weapon surffers with accarery and over heating if fired raperaly poplar with heavy armoured foes so they can lay down alot of fire as they get closer to you.

The Side Arm (mark 1)

My first pistol design in digital i like this but i forgot to put on the trigger guard owps. my next design has will in clude a trigger guard.

All my weapons are powered with plasma cell technology. The humans discovered this tech when they traded with the Aliens that came to earth they learned that the Plasma starts off in a crytal form in veins in the planets crust in another star system. They could melt it down and when after the plasma has been melted down it be comes extremely violitital when mixed with oxygen which is affective as a projectial be has a major weakness that it needs oxygen to work.

Here is the first of my Armour and weapons deveployment that iv done so far for the game on project.

The Brief.

For the Game On project we are required to take everything we have learned to the next levelby inproving are own work and are communicateion with the industry and interaction with the other members of the course. The work we have to produce as a group or by are selfs is the same we have to show for the brief.
  • 2D Character Sprites or 3D Character modeling and texture.
  • 2D or3D Character Animation.
  • 2DVehicle Sprites or 3D Vehicle modeling and textures.
  • 2D Backgrounds or 3D Background modeling and textures.
  • 2D or3D Environments Animation.
We have divided these tasks beween the group and are starting to get some ideas.

The Group !

When we first got given this project we had to choose weather to do it as a group or on our own after thinking for a bit i choose to group up because in the industry they work in teams and i find i work better in a team because i never want to be the person how drags the team down so it makes me work harder.
